NISSAN REACHES 250,000 SALES MILESTONE IN RUSSIA

100,000 vehicles sold since January 2007

sales have doubled year on year

MOSCOW (Dec. 7, 2007) -- Nissan Motor Rus, Nissan’s sales company based in Russia, has reported two significant milestones.

Firstly, over 100,000 vehicles have been sold since the beginning of 2007. The Nissan Tiida in particular has been a particularly strong seller during this year.

Secondly, since launching its commercial operations in Russia in January 2004, the company has achieved sales of over 250,000 vehicles, including the Nissan Note model, which was launched last year.

These two developments clearly demonstrate Nissan’s growing importance in the Russian market. With sales volumes rising steadily, vehicle sales over the past three years have doubled year on year.

The company’s dealer network is also expanding and currently comprises of 43 dealerships across 26 locations in Russia. Furthermore, construction of a new plant began this summer, following Nissan’s decision to build a new manufacturing facility in which Nissan Teana and Nissan X-Trail models will be made. The plant will become operational in the first half of 2009.

Nissan Motor Rus has been operating in Russia since January 1, 2004. It imports new Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, parts and accessories and currently employs 169 people. Underpinned by an active marketing policy, the company constantly strives to expand and improve the quality of its dealer network under the leadership of director general, Toru Saito.
